Russell Grimwade Prize worth $40,000
The Russell Grimwade Prize encourages the advancement of forest science in Australia and will be awarded to an Australian citizen or resident looking to undertake postgraduate studies in this area.
The total prize value is $40,000 and can be used to meet all or part of the costs for postgraduate studies at an appropriate tertiary education institution in Australia or overseas.
The successful recipient will have a degree or diploma from an Australian forestry tertiary institution and have been employed for at least two years in a forestry or forest management related field.

Prestigious Denis Cullity Fellowship: Applications now open.
The prestigious Denis Cullity Fellowship program is designed to support the ongoing professional development of leading Australian forest and wood product scientists. The fellowship provides funding support for projects of three to six months duration at an international research facility.
The Denis Cullity Fellowships were established by FWPA’s predecessor organisation the Forest and Wood Products Research and Development Corporation in 2000 in honour of the corporation’s inaugural chairman Mr Denis M. Cullity CMG AO. Two fellowships are available to high-calibre Australian scientists or engineers working in areas directly related to the forest and wood products industry.

FWPA Postgraduate Scholarships worth $35,000 p.a
FWPA is offering a number of scholarships worth up to $35,000pa (a total of $105,000 over three years) awarded to postgraduate students undertaking research into a number of priority areas of interest to Australian forest and wood product based industries. The scholarships are awarded for a maximum of three years and are offered as a full or top-up postgraduate scholarship.
Proposals will be assessed in relation to relevance to current FWPA research programs with strong preference accorded to areas of study with demonstrated industry support and collaboration.

FWPA Indigenous scholarship applications now open

If you are an Indigenous Australian or have employees with an Indigenous heritage who are looking to undertake tertiary training in the forestry sector FWPA are offering a number of scholarships.
Up to $5,000 is available to cover fees, equipment or travel expenses for eligible Indigenous Australian students who are completing a Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree in subjects that relate to the forest and wood products sector.
