Tech Transfer

FWPA's technology transfer action plan seeks to improve the effectiveness of FWPA’s R&D technology transfer and adoption.
 
R&D extension and communication of R&D outcomes have been identified as the key focus for the stakeholder communications program.
 
Five key actions have been identified to improve transfer and adoption:

• Industry Database
• R&D Project Communication/Newsletter
• Website
• Sponsorships/conferences
• Stakeholder meetings/seminars

 
FWPA disseminates R&D project communications across a variety of mediums, including the improved search functionality for reports on this site.  In addition, FWPA produces audio and audio visual content, report summaries, media releases, articles for trade media and a range of fact and information sheets. New in 2011 is the introduction of an R&D eNewsletter "R&D Works" which is customisable to individual reader requirements.  This eNewsletter will support existing R&D communications materials.  Click here to subscribe and customise your newsletter now.
 
One of the best methods of disseminating R&D project communications is face to face with our stakeholders.  For this reason we will see the return of the highly successful annual FWPA Ideas Fair in 2011 and we are also excited to introduce a new travelling R&D Works seminar series which will bring the latest in industry research and developments direct to our stakeholders.  The Ideas Fair and seminar series provide direct access to researchers for our stakeholders providing a fantastic opportunity to ask research related questions direct to the source.
