Technology Transfer & Education

One of the core activities of FWPA is disseminating the findings from its R&D investment to the industry and specifiers and investing in educational activities to improve the capacity of the sector through skills development, vocation and information. 

The Technology Transfer and Education (TTE) strategy invests in activities including workshops, seminars, field trips, presentations to industry by key researchers, scholarships, fellowships and research training and other professional skills development programs.
 
Four priority TTE themes  
Our 5-year Strategic Plan identified four priority themes for this strategy:

• Disseminate R&D outputs and maximise and accelerate knowledge adoption and technology uptake
• Assist industry to access knowledge and technologies developed elsewhere
• Enable industry's continuous improvement and adoption of best practice
• Selectively develop educational initiatives to lift people's interest in, and skills for, the industry, its networks and research providers

Technology Transfer key activities
R&D extension and communication of R&D outcomes have been identified as the key focus for the Technology Transfer program.
