Your feedback is wanted (and essential)!

FWPA aims to deliver on programs that benefit the largest number of stakeholders, including forest growers, domestic processors, timber importers and the government. To achieve this goal, we need your feedback about program priorities and our performance to date.

The FWPA 5-year Strategic Plan (2020-2025) is a rolling plan that is reviewed annually. This year, it has been prepared with the expectation of a significant decrease in levy income due to a downturn in domestic construction and exports following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to the catastrophic bushfires of late 2019 and early 2020, and the situation with COVID-19, the FWPA Board decided to undertake a review of the strategic framework that could lead to substantial changes to the vision, mission and program structure.

Under our Statutory Funding Agreement (SFA), FWPA must consult with its members, representative organisations and the Australian Government, before making any big changes to its 5-year strategic plan.

In addition, as a prerequisite to renewing the SFA in August 2021, FWPA is required to commission an independent performance review in 2020-21.

This review will be undertaken through an arms-length process that will objectively assess the company’s activities and corporate governance. It will be commissioned by the Board over the coming months, and the consultants engaged will undertake a survey of stakeholders, including some one-on-one interviews.

Your feedback is always welcome, and vital for FWPA to operate at its best.
