Economic Impact of Bushfires on the Community

Economic Impact of Bushfires on the Community

This project examined the economic impact of bushfires on the community over the 36 years to publication. In 2004 values fires caused $1059 million damage during that time. However when compared with other natural disasters, bushfire costs are on par with earthquakes, floods and storms. The most expensive disasters have been hail and cyclones in that order.
